Welcome back | The Learning Castle

Dear parents/caregivers,

We trust that this e-mail finds you safe.

With the downgrade to Alert Level 2 we look forward to welcoming all children back to The Learning Castle from Monday 18^th May. If you are returning to work from Thursday 14^th May (when Alert Level 2 starts) we would be happy to welcome your child from 14^th May.

In light of Covid-19 we have implement the following:

New daily admission process – All staff, children and their parents are required to have a temperature check on arrival. In case anyone fails the temperature check or has respiratory related illness such as cold, flu we will be forced by Regulation to turn them away. The Ministry’s directive to us is to enforce this all the time.
No entry beyond the reception for parents/caregivers – Parents/caregivers are required to wait in the reception area before leaving or collecting their child and maintain social distancing when there. Teachers will actively welcome children.
For contact tracing purposes, it is extremely important to use the tablet to check-in. There is sanitiser (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic) near the tablet to clean your hands upon using the tablet.
We will be resuming our kitchen services and children are allowed to bring their own lunch containers. The Ministry has prohibited birthday cakes unfortunately and children sharing their food with each other.
Extensive and regular cleaning of all our facilities. We have plenty of soap and sanitiser and have in place a Health & Safety Committee which will be monitoring the practices in the Centre. We have invested in a cloud based compliance system which prompts staff to regularly complete the processes to the highest standard and confirm completion by way of signed declaration.

We are expecting the highest standard of personal hygiene from our staff and are requesting the same from everyone that is coming to the centre. It may be useful given children have not used their bags, water bottles for some time to give them a warm wash as often they can become mouldy in such weather.
